The 20ft all-in-one containerized energy storage systems are designed to be Plug & Play solutions, manufactured, pre-configured, commissioned, and tested at production facilities. This results in minimal on-site impact and almost instant operation. The 40ft containerized systems are delivered pre-fabricated, with only the battery system needing to be assembled. While offering several standardized solutions, our battery energy storage systems have been engineered to provide the flexibility to be adapted to your specific needs. The containerized solutions are configured with batteries, a power conversion system, HVAC, an intelligent controller, and all associated safety equipment, including fire suppression and a 3-level battery management system.

The high voltage control box is a high voltage power loop management unit specially designed for the energy storage system. It is an intermediate unit connecting the battery cluster and the energy storage converter. The high voltage control box has battery cluster voltage, battery cluster current collection, and battery cluster loop Contactor control and protection functions. Circuit breakers, contactors, fuses, circulation control circuits, current sensors, battery cluster control management modules (BCM), switching power supplies, etc. are installed in the high voltage control box. It can also be installed separately according to design needs.

  • Real-time data collection and storage: including mutation upload and regular recruitment.
  • Displays the overall overview of system operation: includes overall operation of system, real-time monitoring, photovoltaic power generation, energy storage charging and discharging power, etc., which can be adjusted according to customer needs.
  • Primary main wiring monitoring: include real-time data refresh, setting values, blocking, remote control.
  • Energy storage monitoring & forecasting: include the power curve of the day, the battery SOC of the day, the charge and discharge capacity in different time periods, the battery charge and discharge power curve and real-time status monitoring, and the charge and discharge capacity in time of the day.
  • Photovoltaic monitoring & forecasting: includes power generation summary, weather forecast, photovoltaic power generation forecast, and photovoltaic real-time power curve of each factory area.
  • Load monitoring & forecasting: includes the total load power curve in the system, the power curve of important loads, the time-of-use power consumption in the selected time period, and the real-time power consumption of various loads.
  • Alarm analysis: mainly analyzes and displays historical alarm information, including alarm analysis and display of historical alarm detailed records.

HVAC and Fire System

HVAC System: The environmental control system inside the ESS adopts precision heating, ventilation and air conditioning designed to ensure ideal internal temperature whether discharging, charging or on standby.

  • Cooling - cooling starts when the containers internal temperature exceeds the cooling set point, and it stops when the temperature drops below the cooling set point.
  • Heating - heating starts when the containers internal temperature is lower than the heating set point, and it stops when the temperature rises above the heating set point.
  • Dehumidification - dehumidification starts when the containers internal humidity exceeds the dehumidification set point, and it stops when the humidity drops below the dehumidification set point.

FIRE Suppression System: The fire suppression system is designed according to the container size, and the fire extinguishing gas is discharged from the extinguishing gas cylinders to the main pipeline and then to branch pipelines and sprayed from nozzles. The system includes fire detectors, audible and visual alarm, emergency start/stop button, gas release indicator, gas extinguishing controller, etc.

Applications

1. Capacity Compensation: In the case that the load is higher than the capacity coming from the grid, PowerCombo BESS conducts a dispatch strategy automatically to compensate capacity to the power distribution system and improve the voltage quality behind the meter.

2. Load Shifting & Peak shaving: Store energy in off-peak hours and discharge during peak hours, to reduce electricity bill by partially replacing expensive peak-price while maintaining sufficient electricity supply.

3. Frequency Regulation: BESS is the resource to deliver real-time and precise responses to deviations in the grid frequency, such as FCR&FRR, supporting balancing service providers to adjust active power output/consumption in order to minimize the imbalance between demand and generation on the system.

4. Renewables Power Arbitrage: BESS allows the excess power from renewables to be stored at high production times/low demand then discharged at low production times/peak demand, which will bring the benefits of avoiding high tariff electricity costs and creating a flat charging profile.

5. Backup Power Supply: BESS can be used as a backup power supply in the event of a sudden power outage. The discharge mode will be instantly switched on to offer support to critical loads and safeguard the normal operation of critical loads.
